It is amazing how many flooring choices are available to homeowners today; the main categories are briefly described below. Check out our showroom displays and samples to get ideas and prices. Our designers will help you select flooring to match your style and budget.

Solid Hardwood Floors
Hardwood floors never seem to go out of fashion; they add warmth and charm to any house. Traditional hardwood floors are solid pieces of wood cut into tongue and groove planks that are generally 3/4" thick. They must be nailed to the subfloor below and hence are not suitable for use over concrete. The manufacturing of prefinished hardwood flooring has dramatically improved their finish and durability, and also the ease of installation and maintenance of these beautiful floors.

Engineered Hardwood Floors
Engineered hardwood floors are several layers of wood that are glued and laminated together to form a wood plank. They are usually about 1/2" thick. They can be installed anywhere in the home, including over concrete. Handscraped engineered hardwood floors are a popular trend today. They combine modern finishes with a rustic-looking texture to add character to any house.

Laminate Floors
A laminate wood floor is an ecomonical way to enjoy the beauty of hardwood flooring. Laminate flooring is about 1/4" thick and is very easy to install. The individual planks are locked together but never attached to the subfloor underneath. No glue, staples or nails are needed. The top melamine wearlayer is incredibly durable and very easy to care for. The finish layer is impervious to most stains and spills and is extremely scratch resistant.

Laminate flooring is not limited to wood plank options. Many manufacturers offer a wide range of colors in realistic stone, slate and tile designs.

Composite Floors
No other floor covering offers as much variety of colors and patterns as vinyl composite flooring. Manufacturing processes used today replicate the look and textures of real ceramic tile and stone. These flooring tiles have excellent resistance to staining, scratches and tearing. They are an economical way to create a tile or stone look in your home.

Ceramic Tile
This category also includes porcelain, marble and travertine and other natural stone. Today's selections of colors, sizes, shapes and textures provide endless design possibilities.
